September 4, 2008 - Cell Phone Service Launches (Sand Point, Alaska) - 830AM KSDP / Aleutian Peninsula Broadcasting, Inc. today announced the launch of cell phone service in Sand Point. Alaska Wireless Communications, LLC is utilizing space on the radio station's tower through an agreement with the Shumagin Corporation and APBI. For the most complete information on prevailing cell phone rates and service plans, please visit www.alaska-wireless.com and Carl's Trading or the Trident Seafoods General Store in Sand Point. Aleutian Peninsula Broadcasting, Inc. leases the transmitter site ground from the Shumagin Corporation. APBI leases space on its radio tower to AWC. General Communications Corporation (GCI) in 2007 announced an agreement to acquire AWC. June 16, 2008 - World Class Sailors Interviewed on KSDP (Sand Point, Alaska) - 830AM KSDP / Aleutian Peninsula Broadcasting, Inc.'s program Meet the People today included three world class sailors who arrived in Sand Point late last week. May 16, 2008 - New Board Members (Sand Point, Alaska) - 830AM KSDP / Aleutian Peninsula Broadcasting announced the election of Justin Godbehere and the appointment of Marta Varga to the Board of Directors at its May 15, 2008 annual meeting. January 12, 2008 - Web Streaming (Sand Point, Alaska) - 830AM KSDP / Aleutian Peninsula Broadcasting, Inc. announced today that the station will stream online its full broadcast schedule. The station is working closely with Public Radio Interactive to ensure full compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws. KSDP anticipates to be streaming online by late October 2008. May 22, 2007 - New Board Elected (Sand Point, Alaska) - 830AM KSDP / Aleutian Peninsula Broadcasting, Inc. announced on Monday, May 14, 2007 at its annual meeting results from its Board of Directors Election. The new Board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 @ 7pm at the City Building. March 19, 2007 - Board Election (Sand Point, Alaska) - 830AM KSDP has concluded its membership drive and is working to compose the ballot for the election of directors. The ballot is not ready to be mailed out yet and is still being agreed on. A final ballot will not be ready before March 23. |
